Our choices of charities where no coincidence, both play a very important rule in achieving our goal

When asked, why does your campaign support these two particular charities, Sally answered:

“When we looked at the campaign, we realized that to achieve our goal of actually changing the attitudes and therefore consequences of mental illness in rural Australia, we realized that there was two things that need to happen:

Firstly, we need to see more mental health facilitates and practitioners available in rural areas. This is why we chose to incorporate the RFDS, who are actively doing this.

Secondly, we need to engage and educate communities to enable them to recognize the signs of poor mental health in themselves and their loved ones, and equip them with the tools they need to overcome that. I believe that while western medicine has saved many lives, we should always try and fight mental health, with the mind first. Therefore, positive mental health tools is what everyone should have access to. That is why we have chosen the Rogue and Rouge Foundation; because engage, embrace and equip communities with these tools is what they do."

The campaign will see fundraising for both charities, and us working very closely with Nicole Gibson, the founder and CEO of the R&R foundation herself, to bring these fantastic mental health workshops to our local communities.
